Project Meeting Trani (IT)

The 5thTransnational Project Management meeting of the DigiComPass Erasmus+ Project took place in Trani, Italy. The focus of the meeting was on the development of the training course material (based on the DigComp 2.1 Framework for Citizens) with the goal of transforming adult education and enhancing digital skills. Multimedia strategies were discussed to improve the quality of adult education, increase learner engagement, and keep teaching methods innovative and effective. Status Report of Partners

The meeting began with a status report from all partners involved in the project. This segment primarily focused on the dissemination activities which include the planning and development of the third newsletter, blog posts, and updates on social media platforms.

Conference Report: Digicompass 2024 Conference

The upcoming Digicompass 2024 Conference was discussed in detail. It is scheduled to be held at the University of Cyprus, Nicosia, from November 27-29, 2024. This event marks the culmination of the DigiCompass Erasmus+ Project and aims to showcase innovative educational frameworks such as Flipped Learning 3.0. This framework focuses on enhancing digital skills and competencies of adult learners. Errol St. Claire Smith, a co-author of the Flipped Learning 3.0 movement, will be the keynote speaker, providing unique insights into the framework. The conference will also feature presentations and workshops by globally recognized experts, beneficial for educators, trainers, and researchers.

Training Course Implementation (WP 04)

The final segment of the meeting focused on the pilot phase of the training courses. This includes agreements for the pilot phase, creation of pilot evaluation methods, and the actual implementation of these pilot tests by Adult Education organizations.

Opening WP 05

The meeting highlighted the opening of Work Package 05, which revolves around creating essential documentation for the DigiComPass Framework. The objectives include:

  • Development of courses specially tailored for various adult groups, with an inclusive and environmentally conscious approach.
  • Evaluation of these courses and the learning outcomes they produce.
  • Facilitation of course transferability across different environments and educational fields such as School Education and C-VET.

Trainer Handbook (WP 05)

Discussion on the Trainer Handbook was a key agenda item. This handbook will outline the course concept, utilize the FL 3.0 Framework, and provide implementation guidelines. It emphasizes an innovative training approach based on flipped learning and addresses the usage of stand-alone training content under specific conditions. This document is designed to aid trainers in effectively implementing and understanding the new educational framework.

Summary

Overall, the meeting covered extensive ground on the project’s progress and outlined future steps for effective dissemination and implementation of the educational frameworks developed under the DigiComPass Erasmus+ Project.
