Alexandros Yeratziotis (PhD) is a Post-Doctoral Researcher at the SEIT laboratory, Dept. of Computer Science, University of Cyprus. He is also the co-director of A.G. Connect Deaf Limited, a social SME that offers accessible services and solutions, like mobile applications, for users who are deaf. The topic of his previous post-doctoral research position was Usability and User Experience User Interface Design Heuristics for Deaf Users, which was funded by the National Research Foundation of South Africa (NRF).
He received his doctorate from the School of Information and Communication Technology at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University (NMMU), which was co-funded by the NMMU, South Africa – Finland Knowledge Partnership on ICT (SAFIPA) and the German Academic Exchange Service/Deutscher AkademischerAustauschdienst Dienst (DAAD/NRF). He has published in the field of HCI and Accessibility and has served as a reviewer in well-known journals. His research interests are: Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), user experience (UX), accessible computing, user-centered design and usability inspection methods.
Peter Mazohl, the head of the European Initiative for Education, was a lecturer at the University of Technology in Vienna with a background in science, holding multiple Master’s degrees.
He has extensive teaching experience across various educational fields, including secondary, upper secondary, and higher education, with a specialization in ICT.
Additionally, he has worked as a graphic designer and holds a Level II “Global Flipped Master Degree,” and leads the EBI’s research department with numerous peer-reviewed publications.

Mag. Harald Makl, MA, who graduated in Pedagogy and History of Art, holds multiple Master’s degrees in academic school development, quality assurance, and quality management in education.
He has extensive experience in project management and has been a trainer in adult education since 1980, becoming a lecturer at the Pedagogical University of Baden in 2013.
Additionally, he teaches at the University of Applied Studies for Teacher Education in Baden, Austria, bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his roles in both institutions.
Martin has graduated MSc. in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Southern Denmark and was appointed guest lector in UCL University Business College in Denmark for the subject “Funding & Investments” in 2022

Errol St. Clair Smith is a multifaceted leader in the education sector, with a background spanning traditional media and cutting-edge learning methodologies. Currently, he serves as the Director of Global Development at Flipped Learning Worldwide, actively shaping the future of education through the Flipped Learning Global Initiative.
His passion for learning extends beyond his current role. He is the executive producer of “Blindsided by AI,” a documentary exploring the impact of generative AI on education. Errol’s expertise is further evidenced by his prolific writing career, with contributions to prestigious publications like The Wall Street Journal and The Los Angeles Times. His extensive experience also includes producing podcasts for leading education organizations, highlighting his commitment to professional development within the field.
Previously, Errol’s accomplishments included mobilizing national education associations and spearheading the Bammy Awards, a testament to his dedication to fostering collaboration within the educational landscape. This commitment aligns perfectly with his current focus on Flipped Learning, a pedagogy that emphasizes active, student-centered learning.

Christos Mettour is (Ph.D) is a graduate of the polytechnic school of Computer Engineering & Informatics Department at the University of Patras, Greece. He holds a Masters degree of the same department and a PhD degree from the University of Cyprus. He has been a member of the e-Learning sector of the Research Academic Computer Technology Institute (RACTI) in Greece. He is currently a Post-Doctoral Researcher at the University of Cyprus and a member of the Software Engineering and Internet Technologies (SEIT) Lab of the Computer Science Department. He is involved in a number of EU and local funded projects (SCIChallenge-H2020, Prosperity4All-FP7, Asterics-FP7, idSpace-FP7, CVN-AAL, B3Regions, InnoFun and more) and was also involved in the organization of a number of conferences in Cyprus (DSD-SEAA 2016, ICEIRD 2014, ICSOB 2014, BIS 2014, WiMob 2014, DeSE 2014, MEDI 2014, KICSS 2014, ICTAI 2014, EC-TEL 2013, ECSCW 2013, MobiWIS 2013, PROFES 2013, EUC 2012, CSE 2012, WISE 2012, ICSOC 2011, CIT 2011, SCALCOM 2011, ICWE 2011, PDP 2011, ECOWS 2010). His research interests include Recommender Systems, Ubiquitous Computing, Model-Driven Development and Context-Aware Computing.

Constantinos Tsouris is a graduate of English Language & Literature (UCY, 2002) and holds Postgraduate degrees in Psycholinguistics (University of Edinburgh, 2004) and Applied Linguistics (UCY, 2007) and a doctorate in Language Learning and Teaching (University of Sheffield, 2011). He has been teaching Academic and Specific Purpose English courses at University level since 2006.
His expertise lies in collaborative learning and in curriculum development, while research interests revolve around zones of proximal development and socio-constructivist theorizing. He has designed courses for special/occupational purposes and has presented related work and research in numerous international conferences. He has participated in Erasmus+ teaching exchanges and has also attained an in-service training Grundtvig grant. He was coordinator of the Language Centre’s English section for the years 2016-2018 and 2019-2024 and of the Adult Education Program (2018-2019).
In 2022 he was shortlisted for the University’s biannual Teaching Excellence Award. He regularly offers intensive courses via the University’s Centre for Teaching and Learning and has been a trainer in seminars and workshops with the Lifelong Learning Centre. Beyond teaching, he has been collaborating with SEIT in various EU co-funded projects (e.g. DigiComPass, Beyzo, Dig-It, JobJo, HEPA4ALL), mainly utilizing his expertise and experience in pedagogical matters pertaining to Higher and Adult education.
